The Arkansas Department of Health is now accepting applications for the Stead Scholars Internship program for Summer 2019.

Who:         All Arkansas undergraduates enrolled in accredited 
                 four-year colleges and universities are eligible to apply.

Details:     Each awardee will be expected to spend 8 weeks at the                   Department’s central office in Little Rock.

                 Each awardee will receive a stipend of $2100 for the                         summer’s experience.

                This experience will provide the student with an                 introduction to public health, with exposure to applied and                 basic science, clinical practice and health policy                 development.

                Each awardee will be assigned to a senior staff as a                 mentor and will complete a science project under the                 mentor’s supervision.

All applications and supporting documents should be received by Friday, February 16, 2019 and can be uploaded through the online application portal. The selected applicants will be notified by March 16, 2019.
